Wilma's Southern Texas Photo Shoot....the Heart of my Texas...

Mission Espiritu de Santos
Built on the San Antonio River in the 1700's, Espiritu de Santos would be a self contained settlement established by the Catholic church to teach Christanity to the Indian people of the area . Listen to the silence and hear the voices that have been there before you. This picture was taken by me in October of 1997.

Normal Ranch Life....for Texas cattle
This photo was taken at a family reunion at my mother's cousin's ranch in Concepcion, Texas at Easter time in 1998.Ranching and/or agriculture is the way of life...for lots of folks. This photo, taken by my aunt, has become a favorite of mine portraying southern Texas.

Presido La Bahia.
This is the chapel that housed Colonel James W. Fannin, who fought against General Santa Anna at the battle of Coleto Creek,as a prisoner and was later executed along with 342 of his men. This photo also taken by me in 1997.
I would like to thank you for taking a quick journey with me through some of southern Texas where some of my ancestors lived and died in Goliad.Ya'll come back...
